Event Report
The near-constant rain dimmed, but did not drown, WVEAA’s Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED) event, held on April 10th, as part of Marshall University’s Earth Week activities. We had 14 displayers showing ten (9 models) EVs: Cadillac Lyriq, Lexus Rz450e, BMW i5, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Ford F-150 Lightning, VW ID.4, Tesla Model 3, and Ford Mustang Mach-E (2). Thanks to all who took part. Our special thanks to Moses Auto Group (Huntington & St. Albans) for the Cadillac, BMW, and the Lexus! Our Tennessee Tech friends drove 275 miles (one-way) to participate & Amanda drove over 175 miles (one-way, leaving home at 3:30 am!) to join us!! We are so grateful for their contributions.Speaker: Frederick W. Walker; "Dispelling Myths & Falsehoods About Electric Vehicles"; 50-minute PowerPoint Presentation; audience of three (3) individuals.
College students are aware of EVs, but since they are not in the market for one, are not interested in talking about them. They generally obtain information online and not through personal interaction.
We will probably not choose this venue for DEED again.

Event Description
The West Virginia Electric Auto Association (WVEAA) is planning to hold its Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM) event on April 10th, as a part of Marshall University's (MU) Earth Week and the Electric Vehicle Association's (EVA) Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM). The event will be from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm on Buskirk Field at the MU campus in Huntington, WV. We plan to have a display of (a variety of) electric Vehicles (EVs) and a table with handout literature and volunteers to answer questions.
