EV's at Rockville Science day

The City Captains were Robert Borkowski, Scott Wilson and Bob Erdman.

The event was part of Rockville Science Day, which has a huge variety of science and technology-related exhibits, activities, games and demos.  The event had approximately 4,000 visitors.

We would like to thank our EV owner volunteers who brought 13 EVs to display including: Chevy Bolt, Mercedes, Jaguar I-Pace, Lucid Air, Polestar 2, Sondors motorcycle, Tesla Model S, Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model X and Tesla Model Y.  It's important for the public to see the EVs, but also to talk with the owners to learn from their experiences and ask them questions.

There was a ride & drive using EVs from Tesla, Mercedes and Rivian.  Ford corporate brought a fleet of EVs.  The opportunity for the public to actually try out the EVs is an important part of the education as well.

There was a lot of space, so the static display was set up over a large area.

We acknowledge the support of Montgomery College in allowing us to use a parking lot for the display.  And especially the Rockville Science Center (https://www.rockvillesciencecenter.org/) for organizing the event.

Event Description

The Electric Vehicle Association of Greater Washington DC (EVADC) will have EV Ride N' Drive and EV's on display, hosted by their owners, as part Rockville Science Day, which has a huge variety of science and technology-related exhibits, activities, games and demos. 

Answer your questions about EV's from people who drive EV's!  Drop-in EV's are welcome as space allows.

We will be off of North Campus Drive near the north parking garage and the PE building at Montgomery College, Rockville, and we'll have tabletop exhibits, information and tchotchkes.

Euro Bethesda Mercedes, Ford, Rivian, and Tesla are offering a chance to demo test drives, allowing you to experience the latest in electric vehicle (EV) technology firsthand.

Additionally, a nearby garage has Level-2 charging stations that provide a perfect opportunity for attendees to explore and experience what EV charging is about.
