Moses Lake Event Has Been Canceled.

Energy Northwest, the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Transportation Alliance (EVITA) and Grant Public Utility District are organizing and hosting a Drive Electric Earth Day event at Moses Lake's fast charging station, located at Grant PUD, 312 West Third Ave., Moses Lake.

The Moses Lake DC Fast Charger is part of the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Transportation Alliance (EVITA) network. EVITA is an effort led by Energy Northwest which includes Grant PUD, Benton PUD, City of Richland Energy Services, Franklin PUD, Benton REA, and City of Ellensburg Energy Services. EVITA stations are also located in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, Prosser, Connell, Cle Elum, Ellensburg, and Yakima. The project was funded in part by a grant from Washington State Department of Transportation, and is operated by the Greenlots network. Supporting partners of this project include Mid Columbia Electric Vehicle Association and Mid-Columbia Energy Initiative.

The event will include a dedication ceremony for the Moses Lake DC Fast Charger, and will include the opportunity to see plug-in electric vehicles and learn more about how they operate, what it's like to drive them, and where to find publicly available charging stations throughout the region and the state. Representatives from Energy Northwest, Grant PUD, the Mid-Columbia Electric Vehicle Association and other EV drivers will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about electric vehicles is invited to attend this event.
