Drive Electric Earth Day - Las Vegas was staged in conjunction with GreenFest 2019 at Downtown Summerlin shopping district in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 20th from 10 AM to Noon.
An electric car caravan was organized to kick off the event at Las Vegas Cyclery parking lot at 9:30 AM. About 20 plug-in electric vehicles participated, including Tesla Model S, X and 3; BMW i3, Mitsubishi I-MiEV, Nissan LEAF, Ford Focus EV, Chevrolet Bolt EV, Chevrolet Volt, and a Zero motorcycle.
After arrival, the caravan was directed to a VIP parking lot nearby GreenFest 2019. Nine ChargePoint J1772 AC Level 2 charging stations were also available to caravan members who wanted to recharge their vehicles.
Within the GreenFest 2019 booth, a Clean Energy Drive Zone featured local dealerships with plug-in electric cars.
Karma Las Vegas exhibited a black and white Revero model. Gaudin Porsche brought three Panamera S e-hybrids. Findlay Chevrolet showcased the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Chevrolet Volt. Jaguar Land Rover Las Vegas exhibited a Jaguar I-PACE. Audi Las Vegas presented the new Audi e-tron.
Verdek, a Chargepoint distributor, showcased a CT4000 dual-port AC level 2 charger. The Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association and Drive Electric Earth Day - Las Vegas exhibit booths displayed a Nissan LEAF, BMW i3, and a Zero motorcycle.

Event Description
Drive Electric Earth Day in Las Vegas will feature a plug-in electric car event that will include local dealerships, plug-in electric car owners, and the Las Vegas Electric Vehicle Association. An electric car procession will arrive at Downtown Summerlin shopping district on Saturday, April 20th at 10 AM to help kick off GreenFest 2019, a community celebration of Earth Day.
The electric car procession will be staged a half hour earlier at 9:30 AM in the Las Vegas Cyclery parking lot at: 10575 Discovery Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135.
A caravan of plug-in electric cars will drive from Las Vegas Cyclery parking lot to the GreenFest 2019 Earth Day celebration within the Downtown Summerlin shopping district at: 1980 Festival Plaza Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89135.
GreenFest 2019 will feature a "Drive Electric Earth Day" exhibit, that will be surrounded by other "green" exhibitors, musical entertainment, food, beverages and a multitude of recreational experiences for the whole family from 10 AM to 5 PM.
After the caravan arrives at Downtown Summerlin at 10 AM, drivers in the electric vehicle caravan will be able to park their plug-in electric cars within a special reserved area, as well as receive a "shout out" from the event stage to start the celebration.
Four dual-port ChargePoint AC Level 2 recharging stations, with a total of eight plug connectors and parking spaces, are also available in a nearby parking garage within the shopping district.
