Event Report

The North Bay Electric Auto Association, the north San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association, participated in the City of Santa Rosa's Earth Day event held on the City Square. The event included music, fun stuff for kids, food trucks, vendors and community organizations. It was a beautiful day and many residents walked through with intentions to reduce carbon when purchasing their next EV. Compared to 2019 when we last participated, many people said I already have an EV, and I want to learn more about your organization or I have questions before getting another EV. The majority were planning their next purchase soon or in the future and wanted to learn more about availability, rebates and charging strategies. We spoke with Mayor Natalie Rogers about residential street charging as a way to ensure more equity with EV ownership. Attendees looked at a custom EV Toyota pickup, a Tesla, an Arcimoto and a RadPower bike with great interest.
