Ventura Event Has Been Canceled.

EVENT DATE IS TENTATIVE

The Mixteco Indigena Community Organizing Project is a non-profit of English, Spanish, and indigenous language speakers working to aid Oaxacan immigrants in Ventura County, California. During MICOP’s April Monthly Community Meeting, VCREA will host an “EV Display” or “Muestra de Carro Electrico,” accompanied by an informational booth staffed with bilingual EV experts. VCREA’s mini display will feature 1-3 affordable EV models that are eligible for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (CVRP). In 2022, MICOP received a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Van from VCREA to aid in community transportation needs.  MICOP’s hybrid van will be on display, with the van’s driver answering questions about access to the community van.

About MICOP Community Meetings
MICOP’s monthly community meetings are a great place to get involved and meet the MICOP staff and community members. Each meeting has a theme where they share information that is relevant to the indigenous community. They discuss immigration, driver’s licenses, health and education, among other topics.

Volunteer opportunities include packing food bags and helping children with craft activities. We welcome your participation. To receive our latest email blasts with news and annuouncements please click here, to join our list.
