The Piedmont Earth Day Fair brings together Central NC's leading companies and organizations committed to sustainability. As the largest Earth Day celebration in the region, we have hosted crowds as large as 8,000 people at the event. Featured this year: demonstrations of portable EV Charging and scalable EV Charging solutions for apartments, condos, and parking garages.
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council along with the North Carolina State University (NCSU) Clean Energy Technology Center, the regional EV Association Chapter, TEVA of NC, and the Triangle Clean Cities Coalition are hosting this electric vehicle showcase booth where attendees can see, feel, and sit in electric vehicles from the region.
We invite EV owners to share their experiences and encourage their attendance as a show of support to those considering the transition to EVs! Current EV owners, please bring a picture of your ride to post on our EV Ownership board and share your testimony.
The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) in partnership with the NCSU Clean Energy Technology Center is part of the #Fuel What Matters initiative. PTRC, a 12-county regional council of government, is working to educate and engage with our communities, especially in Davie, Davidson, Forsyth and Guilford Counties, in an effort to reduce transportation related emissions.
The use of electric vehicles can help to reduce emissions, cut down on fuel consumption and even save money. PTRC is helping to diversify fuel supplies and support cleaner, more vibrant local and state economies. The end result – cleaner air and greater energy security.
