Event Report

Many thanks to our NBC affiliate, WLEX TV, Channel 18 for coverage of our event on their 6pm, 7am, and 9am news broadcasts
Here is a link to a video of their coverage:    https://youtu.be/scduTIjJz7w

Long time supporter,  East Kentucky Power Coop,  was on hand with their EV and Level 2 Charger Mock-up.  Our Host,  Good Foods Coop, provided discounts on their bakery products as well as providing premium space on their property for the Event.

The 700+ members of the Tesla Owners of Kentucky lent their support with publicity and cars and personnel with President Michael Menor personally attending.  Both EVOLVEKY and the Tesla Owners posted numerous pictures of the event on their Facebook Pages.

Attendees at the event signed up for membership in both groups as their interest in EVs prompted them to join organizations actively promoting the advancement of EVs and EV Infrastructure.

Our Public Address system was powered from the Ford F-150 Lightning EV Pick-up Truck,  demonstrating the versatility of the vehicle.

In addition to a popular handout about EVOLVEKY,  attendees also appreciated the Plug-in America handout that shows that not all EVs cost $60,000,  but range from $20k to $180k with price points all across the spectrum.  The IRS report on the current EVs eligible for some or all of the $7,500 tax credit was also a valuable resource shared with attendees.

Event Description

On Earth Day 2023, come out and see the future of personal transportation.  Owners of several makes and models of electric vehicles will be on hand to answer your questions about the future of EVs.  Some will even be on hand to give you a ride in their car, either as a passenger or behind the wheel!  We will be at the Good Foods Coop on Saturday, April 22nd, from 10am to 2pm.  New owners of EVs are encouraged to come out and be a part of the festivities and share their enthusiasm about their vehicle.

The Event is being organized by Kentucky's non-profit EV advocacy group, EVOLVE KY and by the members of the Tesla Owners of Kentucky.  We hope to see you there.  Visit our Facebook pages and our websites for more information about Electric Vehicles in Kentucky.

Our host, Good Foods Coop is planning on providing vouchers that provide a discount to visitors who decide to visit inside while EV info and experiences are going on outside !

We encourage you to register as an attendee or even as a volunteer is that suits your time and schedule !
