Event Description

KauaiEV 2022 Earth Day EV Festival

Curious about electric vehicles? How much do they cost, how much do they save, where do you charge? The EV Festival will have most models of electric cars to view and their owners to answer all your questions. Select models may be available for test drives.

Or do you want to share your love for electric vehicles? Are you looking for another EV? Come to the EV Festival, to meet other EV drivers and spread the word to non-EV drivers

We  will not only show our awesome cars, there will also be great raffle prizes!  Mission Zero Hawaii  donated the first three prizes:
  • 2 day rental of a Tesla Model Y on Kauai
  • 2 day rental of a Tesla Model 3 on Kauai
  • 2 day rental of a Kia Niro EV on Kauai
Other prizes include 3x $100 gift cards from the Kilauea bakery and Tesla merchandise, and we'll also have free cupcakes and free pizza and pastries from the Kilauea bakery!

Special guests include Kaua’i Councilmember Felicia Cowden who will share her vision for clean transportation at 10am.

All Models of Teslas, Kia Niro and Kia Souls, several Nissan LEAFs, a Zero Motorcycle, VW ID4, Ford Mustang Mach-e, Ford C-MAX Energi, several e-bikes, Smart Fortwo Electric, and many more still to register!

We will be at the Anahola Neighborhood Center. The EVent will start at 9am, and end at 12:30pm.

We are also looking for volunteers to be at a booth at the Kilauea Farmer's Market at Anaina Hou to advertise the EVent during the EVent, as well as volunteers who can go "live" and who are willing to post on social media and call the radio stations KONG at  808-246-9393 and KKCR at 808-826-7771.

Other environmental non-profits and environmentally oriented businesses (for example solar PV, batteries, solar hot water, ...) are encouraged to apply to attend, as long as there is no commercial activity at the county park. Get in touch with us by signing up here, on Facebook @KauaiEV, or [email protected].

Did you know that you don't even have to wait for our Festival to try out an EV? Mission Zero Hawaii, is dedicated to reducing Hawaii's fossil fuel emissions by providing visitors and locals alike with zero-emission electric vehicle rentals. Look at all the options on the screenshot below!

Here are the maps of the Anahola neighborhood center. (Google and apple maps will get you there as well)
