Event Report

Despite the threat of inclement weather, Saturday, April 10, 2021, turned out to be a great day for Drive Electric Earth Day - Knoxville.  The rain held off, and temperatures were comfortable.  The Knoxville Electric Vehicle Association, Ijams Nature Center, Drive Electric Tennessee, and East Tennessee Clean Fuels partnered for an event featuring 16 plug in electric vehicles.  The cars on display were:

2014 Tesla Model S 85
2018 Tesla Model 3 LR RWD
2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance+
2020 Tesla Model 3 LR AWD
2020 Tesla Model & LR
2018 Nissan LEAF SV
2011 Nissan LEAF SV
2020 Zero SR/F Premium Motorcycle
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium
2017 MB smart for two Cabrio
2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime
2021 Toyota Prius Prime XLE
2020 Audi e-tron Sportback
2000 Honda Insight converted to full Battery Electric Vehicle
2018 Chevy Bolt
2019 Kia Niro EV Ex

We had a great number of people who came through the event to talk with owners and learn about electric vehicles.

Thanks to all the owners for bringing their vehicles, and a special thanks to Audi Knoxville for bringing the Audi e-tron and to Knoxville Utilities Board for bringing their wrapped Nissan LEAF.  Thanks, also, to the many volunteers who helped plan and carry out this event.
