Safety is the top priority for all of our efforts to educate the public about the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs). Due to the widespread risk that the coronavirus (COVID-19) poses to the general public, the national Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED) team has made the difficult decision that our DEED event is canceled.

We are extremely excited to announce that GreenFest is partnering with Brookside Gardens!

On Sunday, April 19, 2020, GreenFest will be at Brookside Gardens with more of what you love and located in one of the County's best natural treasures.

  • Enjoy live music and dance performances
  • Face painting and children’s activities
  • Interactive drum circle
  • Kids tree climbing
  • Plant sale offering natives, perennials and annuals
  • Green Arts & Crafts Fair
  • More than 80 exhibitors featuring environmental non-profits
  • Educational workshops
  • Electric vehicle and car show
  • Food trucks (vegan options available)
  • Free parking and shuttle service between Glenmont Metro Station and Brookside Gardens
  • Plant Sale (Click Here for a list of available plants)
  • And more!

Walk the trails, chill out on the grass, and explore the neighboring Brookside Nature Center, all while discovering how you can go green at home and in the community.   (No Pets or Outside Food or Drinks Allowed. Service animals are welcomed.)



Please register your Electric or Plug-In Electric Vehicle if you are interested in bringing it out. Please note that we will only be allowed a limited number of Vehicles. We will select those out of the ones listed here and from the ones who have contacted us directly. We will reach out to you in either case.
